IMI launched at Kiphire

Dimapur, October 11: The Intensified Mission Indradhanush was launched in Kiphire District on October 9 by Dr. C Tsenthungo Patton, Chief Medical Officer, Kiphire.

"Full Immunization is the birthright of every child," said Dr C Tsenthungo Patton.

A total of 32 session sites in 3 blocks under Kiphire District have been identified for the mission. These are sites with low immunization coverage with no health centres.

According to headcount 333 children (0-2 years) and all pregnant mothers are targeted to be fully immunized by this mission under the district so as to achieve 90% full immunization by December 2018.

An IMI training combined with BRIDGE was conducted for the ANMs assigned for IMI duty by Dr Rebecca Y Sema (DPO RCH-UIP) on October 3 at District Hospital Hall. This was followed by District Task Force meeting held under the chairmanship of Dr C Tsenthungo Patton, CMO on account of Intensified Mission Indradhanush at CMO Office Kiphire on October 5.
