Dimapur, September 13: The Angami Student's Union Bangalore (ASUB) has informed all parents and guardians of Angami students residing in Bangaloreto advice their children to enrol in the union.

In a release, ASUB said registering with ASUB help the union to locate and communicate with one another in times of emergencies. It informed that in the past there have been incidences of arrest of youth for certain issues, assaults etc on Angami community, but the union could not take necessary actions as it is only notified with the victim's name and entrusted to take over the case without any personal or official information about the victim and responsibility is shifted to ASUB, sometimes creating confusions.

The release reminded that once a student/employee enrols with the union, it helps the ASUB to communicate with their counterparts in Nagaland better in times of emergency situations such as medical emergency, accidents, death or even during times of natural calamities.

The union also clarified that under any circumstances it will not be liable for anyone who does not register in the union as a member. It appealed to all the parents of Angami students and employed youths to remind their children to register immediately so as to avoid unnecessary miscommunication in the future.
