CNTC endorses JCC demands

Dimapur, August 12: The Central Nagaland Tribes Council (CNTC) has re-endorsed the JCC members from CNTC to pursue the pending demands on the Urban Local Bodies (ULB) issues and matters till it is accomplished keeping focus on the original JCC demands without any political agendas or involvement in it.

This was resolved in a meeting of CNTC together with its three Dimapur based federating units, the Ao Senso Telongjem Dimapur (ASTD), Lotha Hoho Dimapur  (LHD) and the Western Sumi Hoho (WSH) on August 5 at the Lotha Hoho Ki Dimapur.

The CNTC resolved to support the demands of the JCC for the revocation of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly resolution dated of 24th Nov.2016 on the ULB issue, and the demand of the JCC for the Joint Inquiry Committee (JIC) report from the state government within two months time period, and early amendment of the contentious Municipal Act 2001.

The meeting also decided that the JCC shall have prior consultations and proper co-ordination with the apex CNTC platform for any issues or matters involving the common interests while pursuing the demands.
