Inter-school speech competition held at Mon

Dimapur, August 12: An inter school speech competition on the occasion of the forthcoming Independence Day 2017 was held today in the DC's conference hall, Mon on the topic "India after 70 years of Independent, where we are now and where we will be 20 years down the line".

Elisha Seb of Don Bosco School, Mon and Alphonsa Omai of Konjong Higher Secondary School, Mon bagged the first and second position respectively. 14 participants from different schools from Mon town took part in the competition.

ADC Mon, Shanavas C, IAS said such kind of competition is organised for students who are going to lead the nation and are the future of our country.

Yangba Konyak NPS, SP, Mon, Ravi Ranjan Kumar, DIO, NIC and other dignitaries also witnessed the programme. SP Mon congratulated all the participants and wished them success in their life.

Abhinav Shivam, IAS, Assistant Commissioner, Mon who also spoke on the occasion encouraged the students to gather knowledge and further encouraged the students to be confident.

Ilika Zhimomi, NCS SDO (M) and Kumar Ramnikant, IAS, SDO (C) Mon were the panel of judges for the speech competition.
