CM flags off the tri nation motorcycle rally

Dimapur, November 14: Chief Minister TR Zeliang today flagged off the Assam Rifles Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Unity and Heritage Tri-Nation Motorcycle Rally at Capt.  Kenguruse Hall, Assam Rifle headquarter IGAR(N) Kohima.

Zeliang appreciated the effort of team members in spreading goodwill, faith and harmony towards the greater cause of unity, integrity and peace amongst the countrymen and friendly foreign countries and added that their work is remarkable encouraging and great challenge to the rest of the nation. 

The CM urged the Assam Rifles to work the permanent peace in the State and sought more cooperation towards the Naga political solution, saying only with solution there will be permanent peace in the region.

While appreciating the Assam Rifles for organising the rally, the CM said that it will allow them direct contact with the varied cultures and traditions which will help them to understand the dynamics of the area and better place to serve the people of north east.

The rally started its journey from Shillong on October 30 with 32 bikers.

Covering a distance of 2150 Km and riding along India, Myanmar and Bangladesh so far the motorists has covered Burma and Bangladesh and some Northeast State in India. The motorist will continue with the next stop in Guwahati before culmination at Shillong on November 22. (Page News Service)
