State boys team to participate in Ntl Basketball c'ship

Dimapur, September 12: The Nagaland state boys' team will be participating at the 44th Sub-Junior National Basketball Championship at Didwana, Nagaur District, Rajasthan from October 8 to 14. The event is organised by Basketball Federation of India (BFI) in association with Rajasthan Basketball Association. 

Honorary Secretary, Nagaland Basketball Association, Teisozhavi Theunuo informed that teams from more than 25 states and union territories are expected to compete at the event.

In this connection, a month long coaching-cum-selection trial is underway in the state capital Kohima for players under the category. A team of 12 players along with team officials led by Team Manager, John Dzüvichü and team coaches, Keluongutuo Suokhrie and Medohu Rutsa will represent the State in the tournament which is a mandatory one.

The Nagaland Basketball Association, under the aegis of the Department of Youth Resources and Sports, is putting in all efforts for successful participation of the state team at this national event.
