NDPP NA-I A/C holds leaders consultation for 2023 election

Kohima, October 9: The Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) 10th Northern Angami-I Assembly Constituency has resolved to work hard for the election of its party candidate from the constituency in the next state general election and strengthen the hands of Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio.
The NDPP 10th Northern Angami-I A/C took the resolution during its leaders consultative meeting cum get together held at Kire Farm, Chünyüca, D Khel, Kohima village on October 9.

The NDPP NA-I leaders welcomed and extended support to the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) government to pursue an early solution of the Naga political issue. It also resolved to vigorously pursue the enrollment drive within the constituency for like-minded people willing to join the NDPP party.
Further, the NDPP Kohima Region also resolved to continue the region’s support to the leadership of Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and the party president Chingwang Konyak.
NDPP general secretary i/c Kohima Region, Prasielie Pienyü exhorting the constituency leaders highlighted the activities of the Party throughout the state saying that it is striving to live up to its motto of “Deeds, not words” for overall welfare of the people of the State.
The party strongly stands on gender equality and also for the welfare and development of the state in general, he said.
Asserting that the Neiphiu Rio led Government is strong and working sincerely to deliver goods to the people, he called upon the constituency leaders and workers to stand firm and continue to strengthen his hands.
Expressing that out of the six seats of Kohima region four belongs to NDPP, he said efforts should be made to win all the seats to further strengthen the NDPP government in the State.
He also called upon the constituency leaders not to be disheartened for not having an elected representative in the Government but to be strong and work hard to enhance the constituency prospect to be part of the Government in the 2023 state elections.
He also highlighted the forthcoming party convention for which reorganization would be conducted at all levels and therefore requested constituency leaders to set up a vibrant team at the earliest.
He also talked on the party constitution and structure of the different organizations at the region and constituency level.
NDPP Central vice president Menuovilie Kesiezie said as leaders at the grassroots level they should always stand for the welfare of the party. He also encouraged the party leaders and workers to do away with the petty differences and to have a cohesive spirit to strengthen the party in the constituency thereby strongly backing the party at the state level.

NDPP central youth president Kelhouneizo Yhome extended greetings from the parent youth body and also conveyed messages from NDPP president Chingwang Konyak and NDPP secretary general Abu Metha expressing hope that the constituency would grow stronger remain firm on the party principles and not be swayed with street rumors against the party.
He also conveyed Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio’s message to the party workers to be prepared for the winning prospect of the party’s candidates in the 2023 state general elections.
NDPP central executive council member Neiba Pienyü and representatives from women and youth wings also shared concern during the meeting.
NDPP 10th NA-I A/C president Neitsu Khezhie chaired the meeting while Lhousiezhü Sachü pronounced invocation, Keduozonyü Whourie enthralled the gathering with special number and NDPP Kohima Region working president Nathan Sote tendered the vote of thanks.
