Kohima, November 8: As part of the yearlong silver jubilee celebration, Northern Angami Youth Organization (NAYO) official building complex was inaugurated by its first president Prasielie Pienyü at Chiephobozou town on November 7.
In his address, Pienyü said that NAYO was formed in 1993 for the welfare and protection of its people while first flag was hoisted at Mereima village followed by Zhadima village during its second meeting.
He expressed happiness that NAYO has attained 25 years and is gearing up to celebrate its 25th anniversary on December 5 at Chiephobozou town coinciding with the Hornbill Festival.
Further, the first NAYO president opined that instead of calling Northern 1 and 2 separately it was always good to be called as Northern Angami only. In this, he congratulated NAYO present team for the achievement.
Pastor of Baptist Church Chiephobozou, Dziesetuolie Chadi pronounced dedicatory prayer.
Northern Angami Public Organization (NAPO) president Neiyalie Pfüsenuo, Chiephobozou Central Committee convenor Visakuolie Kiewhuo and NAYO 25th anniversary organizing committee convenor Kekhriengulie Theünuo also spoke on the occasion.
