Dimapur, August 17: Deputy Commissioner Mokokchung, Limawabang Jamir has imposed total restriction on inter-district vehicular movement from August 18 to 25.
According to an order issued by him today, inter-district movement of vehicles would be permitted only in case of medical emergencies and with due written permission from the district administration.
Movement of commercial vehicles carrying essential commodities and goods across Tzutapela Gate/Watiyongpang Gate would continue.
Inter-state vehicular movement across Tzutapela gat3e/Watiyongpang gate would continue to be banned except those vehicles with due approval from the Home Department, Government of Nagaland and with due written permission from the district administration and those commercial vehicles carrying essential commodities and goods as mentioned above.
Market would continue to open as per the July 14 order. However, the market opening timing has been relaxed from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on market opening days.
There would be no restriction on intra-district movements.
Any person/group acting in violation of the order would be deemed to have committed an offence punishable under section 188 of the India Penal Code, the DC stated. (Page News Service)
