Dimapur, October 17: Tseminyu post of 28th Assam Rifles conducted a lecture on skill development on the theme of “Skill development” at Pughoboto Mission English School, Phugoboto on October 13. Eight teachers, 40 students and 10 civilians attended the lecture programme.
An AR release said the Assam Rifles has been conducting various socio-economic programmes in various districts of Nagaland with an aim to uplift the society through awareness programmes about schemes and social projects being implemented by the Government of Nagaland. Being deployed in remote and inaccessible areas of the state, Assam Rifles started the initiative of bringing governance to each and every doorsteps of the rural poor populace who, due to communication gap and distance from the district HQ are not able to keep tab with the progress and socio-economic initiatives being undertaken by the State Government, it said.
During the lecture, details of various schemes and employment avenues for the young generation were discussed and shared for general awareness of the students and the local people. (Page News Service)
