KASU general conference held

Dimapur, January 15: The 46th general conference of Khaghaboto Area Students’ Union (KASU) concluded on January 11 at Zukihe Village. The conference was hosted by Zukihe Village Students’ Union, informed a press release.
Kahuto Chishi Sumi, convenor of Concerned People of Nagaland, was the speaker. Kughato Achumi, president of Western Sümi Students’ Union, was the speaker at the felicitation programme.
Jacob Zhimomi, Minister for PHED, graced the inaugural session. Retired bureaucrat KK Sema was the theme speaker and Dr. Andrew Ahoto Sema, President of NPP Nagaland, was the guest of honour.
More than 700 student delegates from 16 villages in Khaghaboto area participated in the programme. The three-day conference witnessed indigenous games and sports, art and literary competitions besides cultural events.
Academic excellence award were also given to toppers and other successful students in HSLC and HSSLC examinations. The 47th general conference will be hosted by Shitoi Village Students’ Union.
