Not all Bollywood stars approve of the idea of endorsing a fairness cream. Kangana Ranaut declined a lucrative deal last year and now Sushant Singh Rajput also turned down an offer.

According to Mid-Day report, SSR turned down the whopping amount of Rs 15 crore to become the face of a skin lightening cream. According to the source quoted by Mumbai daily,  "Sushant doesn't believe in endorsing such products. So despite it being a lucrative offer, he immediately turned it down. He feels that he needs to be responsible about the kind of products he lends his face to, as several people look up to him." The three-year-long deal apparently required Rajput to shoot for six commercials, which would follow the trope of the fairness cream helping an underdog elevate his social standing."

Just like all fairness cream, this product also needed the three-year-long deal awith Sushant Singh Rajput to shoot for six commercials, which would follow the trope of the fairness cream helping an underdog elevate his social standing. Sushant too feels it's a moral responsibility of actors to not send out incorrect messages to their fans. He told Mumbai daily, "We should not, in any way, endorse or promote the ideology of preferring one skin tone over another."

Last year, Abhay Deol slammed b-town celebrities for promoting such products, even Priyanka Chopra confessed that she regrets endorsing fairness cream in the initial days of her career. Ranbir Kapoor too had turned down an offer of 9 crore rupees to endorse skin lightening cream.
