Hornbill Int'l Rock Contest begins

Dimapur, December 5: The Hornbill International Rock Contest 2017 kick started this evening at the Agri Expo site, 4th with 7 out of the 23 competing bands sharing the stage on the first day of the preliminary rounds. 

The panel of judges for the  competition are Soumini Sridhara Paul, Vice President, Artist Aloud (Hungama Media Pvt. Ltd), Uday Benegal, frontman of Indus Creed and Mhaseve Tetseo (Tetseo Sisters, Rattle and Hum Band and Gear Men Dudes). 

Nine bands out of the twenty three bands will be selected to vie for top honours at the grand finale of this year's HIRC , scheduled to be held on December 8. 

The line up for the first day of the preliminary rounds are as follows: Perfect Stick Figure Illustrations (Gangtok), Radio City (Kohima), Seed of Changes (Bengaluru), Radical Change (Mirik, Darjeeling), Avora Records (Aizawl), Trivial (Guwahati) and The Great Decade (Mokokchung). The show was hosted by Moanungsang Jamir.
