DIMAPUR, JUNE 3: The Government of Nagaland on Thursday notified that 25% of Local Area Development Plan (LADP) 2021-22 fund will be used to meet expenditure to fight and prevent further spread of COVID-19 virus in the State.
State Planning & Coordination Department issued the notification in pursuance of the decision taken by the High Powered Committee (HPC) on COVID-19 in a meeting held on May 28, 2021.
Chief Secretary, J Alam said the 25% will include 15% Common Pool fund, as indicated in the LADP Guidelines III D and in addition 10% from the normal fund without touching the ICONIC Project fund of Rs 50 lakh per constituency.
The CS said the amount so accumulated ~ Rs 25 lakh each from all the constituencies ~ will be kept with the respective DPDBs to utilize it to check the spread of the virus in the districts (including villages) as per the requirement of the respective District Task Forces.
The CS directed the Planning and Finance Departments to take expeditious action to release the fund and place the same to the respective DPDBs for necessary action. (Page News Service)
