KOHIMA, JANUARY 17: Nagaland on Monday reported 48 fresh infections of COVID-19 and recovery of 13 patients with the tally of confirmed cases standing at 32,964.
The fresh infections include Dimapur: 33, Kohima: 12, Peren: 2 and Wokha: 1 while the recovered persons are Dimapur and Kohima: 6 each and Peren: 1 respectively.
The recovered persons tally is 30,520 with recovery rate at 92.59%.
The number of active patients has increased to 484 in the State, of who 37 have mild and moderate symptoms while 447 patients are asymptomatic.
The death toll in the State is 703, of who 16 had co-morbid conditions.
Altogether 1,257 COVID-19 patients have migrated to other States.
Thus far, a total of 4,33,482 suspected COVID-19 samples have been tested in Nagaland. It includes 1,13,558 on RT-PCR, 92,316 on TrueNat and 2,27,608 on Rapid Antigen Test.
Meanwhile, the Health Department official informed that 18,193 teenagers in the 15 to 18 age bracket were administered with COVID-19 vaccine till Saturday.
Further, a total of 13,66,191 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered to 774,065 persons during the same period, said State Immunization Officer Dr Ritu Thurr.
Out of the total doses administered in the State, 60,995 are frontline workers, 16,006 are healthcare workers, 215,603 are people above 45 years and 481,461 in the 18 to 44 years age group, he said.
A total of 592,126 beneficiaries have received the second dose of the vaccine completing the full course of vaccination. They comprise 48,671 frontline workers, 13,555 healthcare workers, 181,326 people above 45 years and 348,574 in the 18 to 44 years age group, said Dr Thurr.
Further, 3,839 people, including 947 health care workers, 2,677 frontline workers and 215 above 60 years of age with co-morbidities, have also been administered with the precautionary dose, he said.
