COVID-19 Nagaland: 3 new infections, 5 recoveries

KOHIMA, DECEMBER 13: Nagaland on Monday reported 3 fresh infections, and 5 recoveries, taking the total of confirmed cases to 32,158.
One case each was detected in Dimapur, Mokokchung and Zunheboto districts, said State Nodal Officer for Integrated Disease Surveillance Project, Dr Nyanthung Kikon in the daily COVID-19 bulletin.
Recovered persons tally rose to 30,292 as 3 patients in Dimapur, and 1 each in Kiphire and Kohima districts recovered during the day. The recovery rate is at 94.20%.
There are 99 active patients, of who 16 have mild symptoms and 3 severe while 80 patients are asymptomatic, he said.
With no fatality for the 8th consecutive day, the death toll in the State is at 699, of who 16 had co-morbid conditions, he said.
Altogether 1,068 COVID-19 patients have migrated to other States, he said.
Thus far, a total of 4,17,120 suspected COVID-19 samples have been tested in Nagaland. It includes 111,684 on RT-PCR, 89,287 on TrueNat and 2,16,146 on the Rapid Antigen Test, he said.
A total of 13,26,615 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered to 762,722 persons as of Monday, said State Immunization Officer Dr Ritu Thurr.
Out of the total doses administered in the State, 60,983 are frontline workers, 16,004 are healthcare professionals, 212,581 are people above 45 years and 473,154 in the 18 to 44 years age group, he said.
A total of 563,893 beneficiaries have received the second dose of the vaccine completing the full course of vaccination. They comprise 48,571 frontline workers, 13,532 healthcare workers, 176,394 people above 45 years and 325,396 in the 18 to 44 years age group, said Dr Thurr.
