COVID-19 Nagaland: 3 infections, 7 recoveries

KOHIMA, DECEMBER 10: Nagaland reported 3 fresh infections and 7 recoveries taking the total of confirmed cases to 32,146.
Two cases were detected in Kohima and 1 in Dimapur districts, said State Nodal Officer for Integrated Disease Surveillance Project, Dr Nyanthung Kikon in the daily COVID-19 bulletin.
The recovered persons tally to 30,275 as 5 patients at Dimapur and 2 at Mokokchung recovered during the day. The recovery rate is at 94.17%.
There are 106 active patients, of who 14 have mild symptoms and 5 severe while 87 patients are asymptomatic, he said.
With no fatality for the 5th consecutive day, the death toll in the State is at 699, of who 16 had co-morbid conditions, he said.
Altogether 1,066 COVID-19 patients have migrated to other States, he said.
Thus far, a total of 4,16,055 suspected COVID-19 samples have been tested in Nagaland. It includes 111,643 on RT-PCR, 89,161 on TrueNat and 2,15,251 on the Rapid Antigen Test, he said.
A total of 13,09,884 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered to 749,454 persons as of Thursday, said State Immunization Officer Dr Ritu Thurr.
Out of the total doses administered in the State, 60,982 are frontline workers, 16,003 are healthcare professionals, 211,737 are people above 45 years and 460,732 in the 18 to 44 years age group, he said.
A total of 560,430 beneficiaries have received the second dose of the vaccine completing the full course of vaccination. They comprise 48,559 frontline workers, 13,526 healthcare workers, 175,564 people above 45 years and 322,781 in the 18 to 44 years age group, said Dr Thurr.
