KOHIMA, OCTOBER 8: Nagaland reported 13 fresh COVID-19 cases, 34 patients’ recovery and 1 death with confirmed at 31,410.
“13 positive cases detected today are – Dimapur: 7, Kohima: 3, Mokokchung: 2 and Phek: 1”, said State Nodal Officer for Integrated Disease Surveillance Project, Dr Nyanthung Kikon in the daily COVID-19 bulletin.
He also said that 34 positive patients ~ Dimapur: 21, Kohima: 7 and Mokokchung: 6 ~ recovered during the last 24 hours taking the recovered persons tally to 29,445 with the recovery rate at 93.77%.
There are 289 active patients, of who 55 have mild symptoms, 7 are moderate and 17 severe while 210 patients are asymptomatic, he said.
A positive patient’s demise in Mokokchung district increased the death toll in the State to 669, of which 15 had co-morbid conditions, he said.
Altogether 1,007 COVID-19 patients have migrated to other States, he said.
Thus far, a total of 380,544 suspected COVID-19 samples have been tested in Nagaland. It includes 110,069 on RT-PCR, 83,859 on TrueNat and 186,616 on Rapid Antigen Test, Dr Kikon said.
A total of 10,96,592 doses of COVID-19 vaccines to 694,579 persons as on Thursday, said State Immunization Officer Dr Ritu Thurr.
Out of the total doses administered in the State, 60,943 are frontline workers, 15,996 are healthcare professionals, 199,376 are people above 45 years and 418,264 in the 18 to 44 years age group, he said.
A total of 402,013 beneficiaries have received the second dose of the vaccine completing the full course of vaccination. They comprise 47,584 frontline workers, 13,298 healthcare workers, 143,934 people above 45 years and 197,197 in the 18 to 44 years age group, said Dr Thurr.
