Manipur: 3 cops injured in gunfight with suspected Kuki militants

Imphal, June 1: Three police personnel were injured in a gunfight with suspected Kuki militants in Manipur's Bishnupur district, officials said on Thursday. The gunfight took place at Tangjeng under the Kumbi police station on Wednesday night, they said. The injured police personnel have been admitted to an Imphal hospital, they added. Guwahati, June 1: FlyBig Airlines on Thursday began daily flights between Guwahati and Silchar in Assam. The flight was flagged by Assam Tourism Miniuster Jayanta Malla Baruah. Imphal, May 30: The central and Manipur state government have decided to give a compensation of Rs 10 lakh to the families of those who died during the ethnic conflict in Manipur, officials said Tuesday.
