14th General Conference of the LMRSU underway at Lotsu

Dimapur, January 13: The Lotha Middle Range Students’ Union (LMRSU) celebrated its 14th general conferences on January 13, hosted by Lotsu Village where Mhathung Yanthan Advisor Government of Nagaland graced the occasion as the chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion, Yanthan expressed that the middle range has remarkably produced various talents that has achieved and reached various level which has been recognised by many.
He called for unity and support to achieve new heights and to march together. He urged the youths, students to dedicate themselves in their assigned duties promptly with proper management of their time.
He informed them to be part of social movements and get thing to learn for they are the leaders of tomorrow, while reminding them to do away with all social evils that prevail and sabotage the society.
He expressed that Naga society need to transform by taking various issues and solving them rather than blaming one another.
Yanthan told them to plan well and make it productive and reminded the students leaders and organisations to follow the main objective and lead their responsibility.
Theme speaker, Dr. Mhonthung Yanthan, head department of political science St. Joseph’s college (autonomous) Jakhama Kohima, Nagaland speaking on the theme “Towards a brighter future”, shared five points to bring transformation and called the congregation to move forward by refining oneself, having a razor sharp determination, discipline in life and invest hardwork with a critical mindset.
He said that it is time to perform and not to do experiment as future lies in the hands of the people and called to move forward.
In a short speech, Er. Mhondamo Lotha, chairman Lotha Hoho told the congregation to be practical, to have work culture, & give priority to one language that’s signify ones identity. He informed the congregation to work constantly, preserve and utilised judiciously.
Ntonsi Yanthan President, LMRPO called the students to seek God first and respect elders to seek guidance and wisdom from them.
Ashanthung Humtsoe, President Lotha Students’ Union (LSU) in his short speech called the unit presidents to have a sense of responsibility and do research and be practical that can bring change an all-round transform.
Later the evening session was graced by Mhathung Murry, special commissioner of state taxes, Nagaland as the special guest.
